Deliverance Weekend and Zhen Yi's Birthday!!

What a "hellofaweek" it was... People screaming, scratching, strangling, pinching, vomiting, kicking, punching and not forgetting to say - biting...
Our dearest Cell group leader really suffered alot for us. (Do remember to appreciate her!) She shared with us how she was punched and kicked when she prayed for some of them who were later set free from demon bondage. Hahaha... It's really funny la. *Ah bish

Having said that, Demons are so real, but thank God that under Jesus' name, everything have to submit to it.
Demons can't wait to enter into human bodies, and we have to learn how to protect ourselves from it. The most common that I've seen was of sexual and of rejection. If you know that you're vulnerable to it, than learn to recognize it and guard yourself against it. I would say write a spiritual report so that you will be accountable to a leader. You don't have to let them know everything, but you can just say you have some specific areas that you're struggling with, and that person can pray for you. They don't have to know everything if you're not comfortable to share.
Prayer works miracles, and the prayer of a righteous man/women avails much!

Zhen yi suffered red eyes throughout the service, and you know I was worried that the person who's gonna pray for him will be shocked! Red eyes sia - "I bind you vampire spirit in Jesus name..." wahaha...
We also celebrated his birthday after service on Saturday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZHEN YI!

Most of our girls.. Ok, I mean EVERY of our girls were set free! Some shared with them that they were so worried and sad to see them like that.. But thank God they were set free!

Saturday a few of us - Joleen, Andrew, Zhen Yi and Huan Ran went for make up cellgroup with B.Justin. Man I missed Gabriel's big house and his koi fishes. The message that day was about relationships, and the 6 kinds of friends we should look for.

Share with you guys some, courtesy of Elson's request.

We will reap the consequences of those that we are close to.

Pro 13:20 says he who walks with the wise will be wise, but companions of fools will be destroyed.

The things that they do, will it draw us closer to God? Especially those that we're closest to.

1 Corinthians 15:33 - Do not be deceived, evil company corrupts good character.

(Yet on the base note - If you're self seeking, you will not have many friends to begin with...)

~6 Kinds of people to have in your life!~

(Apply it to urself, & also to examine the people around you)

1) People who motivate us to obey

These are people who price integrity over relationships.

Joshua 24:15 - As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
Joshua said it amidst of sinning corrupted people, yet he was able to say that.
Do we have friends like Joshua?

Daniel 3:16 - Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego. (4th man in the furnace)
Because they chose to honor God first, God honored them, and through this event of integrity, Nebuchadnezzar, the mightiest King then, made a degree that no one shall serve any other 'god', except their God!

Sometimes in life, we need peer pressure for positive things.

2) People who are open to change and correction.

Acts 23:1 - Paul scolded the high priest. But after he realized that it was the high priest, he changed his attitude. He's open to change and correction.
Be a self corrector - Be open to change and correction!

3) People who encourage us to have faith.

Mark 2:1-5 - Paralytic man who was healed because of his 4 friends.
Sometimes we just need to have crazy friends.

4) People who are willing to stand up for us in our absence.

Any statement that is uncontested will be established as the truth.
Will you be a friend to stand up for your friend even if others ridicule you? Don't join in just so that you will gain acceptance.

5) People who reminds us to be grateful.

Magnitude of our gratitude will promote us faster than our talents.
Learn to appreciate people around you, even for the small things!

1 Samuel 25:2 - When you see someone in need, never reject them.

6) People who motivate us to be generous.

Doreas, Barnabas... People who give generously. Not just in money, but also in the way you praise. Be generous in giving compliments, be generous in your words, in your actions...

Money, words and actions = Expressions.

Let our heart enlarge. It's saying "I want them to know that I'm here to be a blessing."

Do you see yourself as any of the 6? Do you have friends like that?

It's all about relationships... Not just to enjoy life, but to impact lives.
