Hey guys, I was preparing my lesson for children church just now and I was very touched by this true story...

Let's just call this story "Bowl and Chopsticks"

This is the World’s biggest Church; it is Yoido full gospel church in South Korea.

They have 800,000 members.

That’s a lot of people! They print their own newspaper, set up university and set up town for old people and homeless. They are such a blessing to Korea and to the world.

This building couldn’t have been completed if not for a bowl and a pair of chopsticks.

Dr Cho wanted to build a large church so that many Koreans can get to hear the love of Jesus. But he ran into some problems. He didn’t have money.
Dr Cho sold his house but it still wasn’t enough, he sat at the incomplete church and prayed to God for help.

One Sunday after service, one very poor woman went to Dr Cho and said, “Pastor I know what is in your heart to do something for God.” and she gave her little bowl and a chopstick as an offering to God.

Dr Cho knew that she was a very poor woman and he said, “ What are you going to eat with without your bowl and chopstick?

The lady replied, “ I can eat out of cupboard.”

Soon her sacrifice was made known. A very poor woman gave the only thing she has to build a bigger church.

Many of the businessmen began bidding for the bowl and chopsticks and the money raised was enough to finish up the church.

You know, I was very touched by this powerful story... It was like the woman with the alabaster flask of costly oil.
What God's looking for is not the amount. It was never about the amount. But He's looking for someone with a willing heart, a heart willing to sacrifice. Just based on a poor lady's bowl and chopstick, God moved and brought forth a miracle.

2 Chronicles 16:9 : "For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.”
